Complete Entry Guide
National Defence Academy — the premier institute for training future officers of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The NDA entrance exam is conducted twice a year by the UPSC. Selected candidates undergo three years of training at NDA (Khadakwasla, Pune), followed by specialized training at their respective academies (IMA, AFA, INA).
Eligibility
- Army: 10+2 (any stream)
- Navy & Air Force: 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics
- Candidates appearing in Class 12 can also apply.
Age: 16.5 – 19.5 years at the time of joining.
Written Exam
Mathematics 300 + GAT 600
- Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Vectors
- English (200) + General Knowledge (400): Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Current Affairs
